
Snapshots from the 21st Annual All-Star Classic in Carbondale

27 high school players from throughout southern Illinois participated in the 21st Annual All-Star Classic at Carbondale High School Gym. The dark team (coached by Matt Shaw) defeated the light team (coached by Nick Hill) by a score of 128-98.
Carlton Westbrook of Centralia was the MVP of the game as he scored 31 points to lead the dark team to victory. He pauses after the game with former Orphan and SIU player, Matt Shaw, who coached the dark team. Truvanty Badger and E.J. Randolph of Mt. Vernon scored 18 and 11 points respectively. Westbrook also won the slam dunk competition before the game, defeating seven other participants despite being the shortest entry in the contest, standing 5'10".
Derek Trevillion of Vienna captured the trophy in the 3-point shooting contest before the game. He made 9 out of 15 shots and edged out six other participants.
